Student's Log... for some reason I have the voice over from James T. Kirk going through my head
since star dates where made up in star trek... but they only had 6 digits... oh well.. I'll just stick with writing year (last two digits), month (two digits), day (two digits), round down(hour/24)... using 0 for midnight... so right now... it would be 120304.7!
I've just been slowly working on Device Physics homework... to be honest kind of tired to doing it. Just one more problem to do...

ReplyDeletewell you see, in Star Trek they divide the day into 10ths. So thought I'd be dorky like that. So I'm just taking the time (military) and dividing it by 24 and rounding down to get the approximate time. Thought I'd add an element of nerviness to my blog...

right now is 9:22pm 4th of March, 2012 this would be 120304.8 still since I'm rounding down. Tomorrow at this time, it would be 120305.8
DeleteI do like name files such as my photographs by "YYYY.MM.DD - description.jpg". It's the best way to sort them chronologically, since you can't always rely on the "date taken" metadata of the file.
ReplyDeletegood suggestions, usually I just last two of year as I really don't have files from the 90s. Though always better to put the whole year :)!!!
